The Castle universe by ABODI Transylvania began with the iconic Vampire Castle Headpiece — a sculptural creation inspired by the silhouette of Bran Castle, fused with the brutalist monolithic architecture of 1970s Eastern Europe and filtered through a faded, blurred childhood memory. Worn by Eva Herzigová in Numéro, the piece introduced ABODI Transylvania’s vision of transforming monumental gothic structures into wearable art objects, merging architecture, symbolism, and couture craftsmanship into a striking visual identity. The Castle Headpiece translated towers, sharp lines, and gothic ornamentation into wearable sculpture, establishing the foundation of the Castle world.
The architectural language of the headpiece soon evolved beyond couture into the world of international performance and celebrity styling, gaining further visibility through Jaden Smith’s Grammy appearance and red carpet moments that highlighted ABODI’s distinctive fusion of architecture, fantasy, and sculptural luxury as featured on Vogue.com. The castle motif became instantly recognizable — bold, dramatic, emotional, and collectible.
From there, the concept transformed into a new object: the Vampire Castle Bag. Inspired by the emotional meaning of home and protection, the design reimagined monumental architecture as a sculptural accessory carried close to the body. More than a handbag, it was conceived as a small portable home — protective, symbolic, and deeply personal. Fortress-like silhouettes, jewel-like metallic finishes, and sharp architectural structures created pieces that feel both monumental and intimate at once.
At the center of the project is craftsmanship. Produced in limited small batches with European artisans, each piece supports ethical local manufacturing traditions while ensuring exceptional attention to detail. Crafted from premium Italian leather and assembled through a highly specialized process, the Castle Bags combine structure, durability, and artisanal finishing with a strong sculptural identity.
The evolution naturally continued with the MINI Vampire Castle Bag, distilling the original concept into a jewel-like statement object with strong “main character” energy. Smaller in scale but equally architectural, the mini version emphasizes precious proportions and intricate handcrafted details that transform the castle into an intimate companion carried through everyday adventures.
Architectural bags are increasingly emerging within luxury fashion because they offer something beyond seasonal accessories: identity objects with collectible value. In a market saturated with minimal designs, sculptural bags create emotional connection, storytelling, and visual distinction. The Vampire Castle Bag embodies this movement through its fusion of architecture, craftsmanship, symbolism, and cultural narrative — transforming a functional object into a collectible statement of individuality.
The Castle Bag universe by ABODI Transylvania continues to gain international visibility through standout celebrity appearances and growing collector demand. The MINI Vampire Castle Bag was worn by Janelle Monáe at the pre-Met Vogue party as well as during the premiere of her latest film Is God Is, highlighting the bag’s sculptural presence within contemporary fashion and cinema culture. Her look was featured in WWD and many more magazines. The large Vampire Castle Bag was later carried by top model Vanessa Axente, further establishing the design as a bold architectural statement piece. Following these appearances, the Castle Bags experienced significant international attention and exceptionally strong demand, reinforcing their status as collectible luxury objects.
